Help Lander’s own Dr. Lori Lenihan, DVM…
Dr. Lori is riding in the Team In Training fundraiser for
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
In memory of Dr. Gary A. Daley, DVM, a long-time partner with Lander Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Lori Lenihan, DVM, will participate in the Team In Training fundraiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Lake Tahoe, NV on June 4, 2017.
Dr. Lori will be riding to honor the name of Dr. Gary Daley, who passed away in November of 2012. To help support her mission, Dr. Lori hopes to raise $1,600 in sponsors.
“Gary was an amazing veterinarian and mentor,” Dr. Lori said. “He made my transition as a new graduate from Nova Scotia Agricultural College to Lander a very easy one! I miss him so much at the Clinic and wish he was still with us, but doing this ride in his honor will make it a bit better.”
“If you can spare a bit of money to help support my endeavor in Dr. Gary’s name,” Dr. Lori continued, “I would be eternally grateful!”
Dr. Gary Daley grew up in the Turlock area and began his veterinary career at Lander in 1978, following graduation from UC Davis. He was mentored while still in high school by Dr. Bob Harris, the founder of Lander Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Gary was a district representative for the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and was featured on the cover of Bovine Veterinarian magazine in 2000. In 2012, Gary was honored by the Turlock Chamber of Commerce as “Agricultural Leader of the Year”.
He was also cited for his years of donating time at the Stanislaus County Fair and serving on the Stanislaus County Fair Animal Health Advisory Committee.
